You can't place an order from what people have said. No reply from the site at all. Maybe that has changed lately, I don't know. I don't like the changes they have made to them. They are replicas kind of,they look totally different if you look at them.

From what i see they look nicely machined and finished.  I would like to get a look at the combustion chamber.   Thay are answering their phone. I am waiting for a call back.....Just looked at them on HVC site they show the combustion chamber.  It looks like a contemporary design, would have to get closer to measure it.   Price is reasonable at 499.00  Talked to HVC, they said they were a straight reproduction.  He believes the combustion chamber is not modified for todays fuels.  So add an additional &80.00 for chamber work.  Still not a bad price.

I just looked at the dome shape on the HVC website and they look different from the later DG's.

The early ones are like the ones on the website. The later ones are shaped more like the later rz350's from europe.

I've had both.

I have to admit....I bought the daytona special I have soley for the DG heads on itCool  It was priced rightThumbs Up from a guy here a few years ago at $1000.00 running with Dg heads, rearsets, clipons and factory pipes, drilled disks and stainless lines,oh and a fresh powdercoated frame and brand new tires and a FZR brake conversion"needs correcting".. still I cant beat that deal! Its not mint but alot of the work is 80% there..but the last 20% is correcting ALOT of little crap. I even scored a Daytona tank @ the extravaganza meet for $20.00 with cap, orig paint,no rust ..zero and just two small handlebar dings...Im guessing this bike is meant to beBig smile  but its the gold heads that do it for me...im shallowWink

You're correct on the dome shapes...I have a later set of "3" heads and the chambers are like a top hat...sharp at the squish band rounded down to a flat roof in combustion chamber.

I don't really like the rounded edges on the re-pops...kind of like the flat OGs better.

I just called them and a lady answered "Thank you for calling Ottoco how may I direct your call"
Me: "Sales Please"
Her: "One Moment"
Man answers "How can I help you"
Me: "Are your radial heads available for the Yamaha RD400?"
Man: "Yes they are. They are instock and ready to ship."
Me: "Can I order through you and/or the website"
Man: "Both will work I can take your information now if you'd like."

Sounds legit.. I didn't order as I already have the DG...
