Here is my 76 RD400 with 3,900 origanal miles. It is all orignal paint, chrome, seat cover etc. The only thing that is changed is the original owner painted the wheels black and installed a Newtronics ignition, and rear shocks were changed. It is my favorite vintage bike, it runs like new!!

That has to be one of the nicest original condition bikes I've seen.

right click, save as!
That comparison ain't fair though, the blue one has had 1 less year of wear and tear, UV exposure, etc.. :-)   Thats assuming its 'original' too....either way, damn nice...

UV exposure isn't a problem for most of the year in this part of the country.  It's 100% original except tires and mirrors.  Thanks for the compliment.  I have a 250 to post as well.

Wouldn't that be cool! I know my chappy red paint is a "correct match"- I actually bought a two part set of original Yamaha paint in the cans, never opened. It was still good!

I live in Texas and you can't let anything set outside in the sun it goes to crap fast. I love the blue bike.I am collecting parts to build a Frech Blue bike now. I also may paint one of my other "parts" bikes the Geneva Green so I can have one of each. But I have to finish my Daytona and my 69 AT1 Enduro first, along with a MIni Mini Indian. I think I have lost my mind!!!Oh the red 77 is super nice also. Thanks D.N. 77N

The blue '77 is my old RD- it's completely original and unrestored.

I'm glad you're watching!!  The pic actually does justice to the condition of the bike.  If not for your hard work, I'd never have found  one in this shape.Thumbs Up
